I had WAY too many photos of our arrival into downtown. It's just so dang cool when the entire front windows are filled with big buildings…such a different scene than what we've been used to.
See, I culled it down to only three photos of our approach. Here's the third one:
The Bell Harbor marina is very small and has room for about 70 boats total. There we are, toward the middle of this shot, to the left of the piling:
We arrived around 4:30pm, washed the boat off with fresh water, squeegeed the windows, and then decided to walk the waterfront because, as I mentioned before, the weather in Seattle yesterday was off the hook beautiful!
We decided to take a ride on the Seattle Great Wheel (ferris wheel on the waterfront) because…weather, and almost sunset. It was a blast, and did not disappoint in the way of view.
Up….
Up…
Down…
There's our little Airship somewhere over there in the marina on the left:
Sunset was fantastic:
After our ferris wheel ride, we wandered into Miner's Landing (restaurants, shops, taxidermy, and old photos):
Back outside:
Great Wheel, reflected in puddle:
Back at the marina (a pretty sweet location!):
There we are, right in the middle:
Here's what it's like (from the back of the boat) today, for comparison:
Still lovely, just different. Most of the day today will be spent standing here working, but it was SO worth taking yesterday afternoon off!
