There are miles and miles of trails here, and we've done a bunch of 'em. Earlier this afternoon we took the trail down to the trash and recycling (it's a really nice trail!!) and then headed off on a bit longer hike into the woods. Gorgeous.
My mom is meeting us out here tonight with her RV. We'll be cooking some beef tenderloins with a celeriac puree, sauteed chard and kale, and maybe a small salad. Should be yum!
It REALLY was yum! Everything, and the best steak I have ever eaten. Thanks again Kevin & Laura. Fun visiting and the trip home was about 1 hr. & 20 minutes. It began to rain when we got near the top of Mist Mountain. It was beautiful.
Thanks, mom!! It was great having you out here with us! It’s gray and drizzly here now too. Glad you got all the nice weather! We’re grilling some chicken now and I’m doing a fava bean and asparagus salad to go with it. Will let you know how it turns out (experimenting with fava beans). Love you!!
