I told you the other day about my new score from Photojojo, right? The iPhone "Rangefinder" case with three new magnetic lenses (wide/macro, telephoto, and fisheye). Well, I've been playing around with the macro lens today and it's good so far! (I got myself this thin leather strap for the getup, and it just makes the whole look, doesn't it?)
Here's the new (tiny!! about 1.5-2 inches across) orchid we got for the trailer, photographed in lowish light with the wide/macro lens. Not too shabby.
And here's a (heavily processed) shot of our trailer in our favorite spot here at Champoeg State Park:
I've been experimenting a little with a new camera app that so far has a lot of fun features…(and shoots super fast). It's called Camera Awesome. Read a review here.

Okay…I’m intrigued 🙂 I don’t get the shots with my iphone that you do…I’m always a little disappointed with mine. Maybe I’d be happier with the iphone 4s…hum…
Funny thing is, the new iphone setup looks remarkably like the fuji f100 I got a couple of months ago. I’m still figuring that little camera out, but it’s sure a lot of fun, and a lot less bulky than carrying around my more
cumbersome ones when I’m hiking around.
Looking forward to seeing more photos that you post!
Hi Kim! As far as these lenses go, I’d say the wide/macro is the one that I’m most into…the macro part. The 4s has a good camera, yes. It’s the camera that’s most often with me (not the Nikon D700, which is usually parked at the studio)…so I figure I should just outfit it the best I can. Seems like it’s mostly about finding the good “develop” apps that work for you…for how you want your photos to look. My favorites have been a combo of Camera + and Photoshop for iPhone…I was hoping this new Camera Awesome would be those two combined, but I don’t think it is.
p.s. Come out to Champoeg! 🙂
