It's rainy and windy (and might even snow tonight!) outside but inside the Airstream is cozy and warm. Tonight we're grilling some chicken that I marinated in lime juice, cilantro, sesame oil, fish sauce, garlic, red pepper flakes, and a little hot sauce. I made a salad of fresh chopped kale, prosciutto, pine nuts, and shaved parmesan with a dressing of white balsamic, rice wine vinegar, olive oil, and honey, and in the oven I've got two little sweet potatoes baking. I cut them into super thin slices…almost all the way through, but not. (They remind me of those wooden snakes that are cut so they can curve into S shapes.) I drizzled olive oil and some butter on top, salt and pepper, then put 'em in the oven at 425 for about 30 minutes.
It's smelling good in here now. I'll snap a photo before we dig in:
The wine we're having is a Cass (Paso Robles) 2008 Reserve. We love this winery!
